THE DEATH & CO STORY

In the early 1900s, to drink was to keep company with death. Consider us, then, the best of company. Nearly a century later, quality has been restored to the classic cocktail – and so our story began.

Opened on New Year’s Eve 2006/07 in Manhattan’s East Village, Death & Co quickly became a cocktail institution, owed greatly to its team of groundbreaking bartenders. In 2010, Death & Co won Best American Cocktail Bar and World’s Best Cocktail Menu at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

Having since published the influential books Modern Classic CocktailsCocktail Codex, and Welcome Home, as well as opening new D&C locations across the US, Death & Co continues to create unforgettable experiences and connect people through cocktail-anchored hospitality, now here in Melbourne, our first international home.
